Case status for a professional services firm, without the Monday meeting
Make It Happen builds internal collaboration systems for professional services firms: one thread per client matter instead of one per group chat, an owner and a committed response time on every request, alerts before a commitment expires, and a status anyone can read without asking.
This page describes what the studio builds for this kind of business. It does not claim a delivered engagement in that industry — where one exists, it is published on that industry's own page.
What this looks like today
A client calls asking where their matter stands. Answering it takes a walk to two desks and a message to somebody who is with a client until four, and the client hears back tomorrow about something that happened last week.
The decision that matters is in a private chat between two people, one of whom is on leave. The file holds the documents and none of the reasoning, so whoever picks it up begins by reconstructing why.
Nobody can tell who is drowning and who has room until a deadline is missed. Work goes to whoever answered the last message, which is reliably the person already carrying the most of it.
What you get
One thread per matter, client or engagement, carrying its own decisions, documents and history
Every internal request carrying its owner, its priority and the response time you committed to, with an alert before that time runs out
A status any partner can read on the matter itself rather than ask for in a meeting
Workload boards showing open work by person and by team, aged and prioritised, so the next matter lands where there is capacity
A scoped channel for a client, a counterpart or a contractor that shows their matter and nothing adjacent
What this is not
Billable hours and invoicing are not ours to keep. The matter holds its conversation and its commitments; time recording and billing remain wherever your finance side already closes the month.
We do not become your document store or your system of record for filings. The thread points at the file and carries the decision behind it; where the file itself lives does not change.
We do not decide what is privileged, retained or disclosable. Access rules, retention periods and what an outside party may see are configured to what your own counsel or compliance lead specifies.

Questions buyers actually ask
How do I find out where a matter stands without asking three people?
You open the matter. Its state, its owner, the decisions taken and who took them are on the record itself, because that is where the conversation happened. Nothing has to be reconstructed from a thread, and a partner reading it at seven in the morning sees exactly what the team saw yesterday.
Can we keep one team from seeing another team's matters?
Yes. Permissions are role-based and enforced row by row where the data is read, not hidden in the interface, so a matter is visible to the people on it and to nobody else. Walls between teams, and read-only access for a supervising partner, are set on a screen rather than in a deployment.
Will the team adopt this, or end up back in the chat?
People adopt what is quickest, so the conversation moves to where the work already sits and one team starts before the whole firm does. Anything that does not hang off a matter stays in the chat you already have. Adoption here is run deliberately rather than hoped for.
Have you built this for a firm like ours?
We do not claim a professional services firm as a case, and we publish delivered work by sector without names. The method is what transfers: map how a matter actually moves through your hands, agree what a state and a response time mean, then build one team's version and let the second copy it.
The possible part of the impossible.
If you have an idea that shouldn't work, bring it. We will tell you which part is genuinely impossible and which part is only hard. Most of it is the second one.
